A heavy-duty anchor is a special form of metal anchor that is used for particularly demanding tasks. These high-performance heavy-duty anchors are available in all conceivable sizes, so that a heavy-duty concrete anchor can withstand loads of several tons easily and reliably.
Therefore, TOGE heavy-duty anchors are always used when plastic anchors or other systems are no longer sufficient. The range of applications for heavy-duty anchors is very broad: installing a heavy-duty anchor is often an indispensable solution today, even in the trade environment. Special designs of these special heavy-duty anchors with enormous load-bearing capacity are also used, for example, in industrial and mechanical engineering.
Heavy-duty anchors are among the safety-relevant components. What is fastened with a heavy-duty anchor must not fall from the wall or ceiling under any circumstances. Therefore, there are a variety of regulations and seals for quality and grade.
The CE mark, which is also familiar from other technical equipment, initially says little about the actual material properties of the heavy-duty anchor. It merely means that the product complies with the harmonization legislation of the EU on its installation, but it is not a quality judgment on the subject of heavy-duty anchors of concrete.
Anyone who wants to install a heavy-duty anchor should pay particular attention to the European Technical Assessment (ETA). This states that the approved heavy-duty anchor has undergone a defined test cycle. This specifies, among other things, the installation method, the load-bearing capacity and, above all, the substrate required for a firm hold.
In the case of heavy-duty anchors, unlike plastic anchors, the anchor is not deformed or cut into. TOGE heavy-duty anchors function similarly to a wood screw and, when screwed into a pre-drilled hole, cut a thread into the concrete, through which very high loads can be introduced. Quite simple and effortless, with no special setting tool required.

Every single heavy-duty concrete anchor from TOGE undergoes various internal and external quality tests and monitoring at almost every stage of production. Like all TOGE products – 90 percent of which, incidentally, are still manufactured at the company’s traditional headquarters in Nuremberg – the heavy-duty dowels are created with the special skills of the company’s own research and development department.
In addition to the comprehensive range of heavy-duty dowels and heavy-duty anchors, TOGE also offers numerous highly qualified services, for example for structural engineering:
As well as for dealers and distributors:
You too can benefit from our numerous solutions on all topics relating to fastening by heavy-duty anchors, load values or pull-out values and find out more about our aerated concrete anchors, aerated concrete screws and about our other products. Our services for you:

A heavy-duty dowel or heavy-duty anchor is characterized by its particularly high load-bearing capacity and can therefore withstand even the toughest conditions, such as in industrial and metal construction. Heavy-duty dowels and heavy-duty anchors can handle even the largest loads of several tons there without any problems and reliably.
Following the Nuremberg craftsman tradition, the name TOGE has been synonymous with a passion for developing and producing anchors tailored to the needs and wishes of our customers for almost 50 years. Also, thanks to the company’s own research and development, TOGE is known for high-quality heavy-duty anchors and heavy-duty dowels.
